11-12-04 - 3rd year student Amy Hardberger, on invitation, gave a presentation on "Recommendations for a Groundwater Agreement along the U.S.-Mexico Border" at the international conference on Transboundary Aquifers of the Americas. The presentation was based on her recently published article which appears in volume 35 of the Texas Tech Law Review. The conference, which was held in El Paso, was organized by UNESCO, the OAS, and ISARM-Americas.
Congratulations to 2L students Joy Gibbs & Mandy Gundlach for finishing 3rd at last weekend's ABA Regional Negotiation Competition held in Fort Worth! The field of 24 teams included students from law schools in Texas, Louisiana, Arkansas, Oklahoma, and Kansas.
Professors Bob Weninger and Cal Lewis will be speaking to the Fall 2004 Judicial Conference of the Texas Judicial Academy on Thursday, November 18, 2004.
Professor Gabriel Eckstein will attend a UN organized experts meeting in Tokyo, Japan from November 29 to December 1, 2004. The meeting will address Internationally Shared Aquifer Resources Management.
