The Texas Tech Law School Bankruptcy Moot Court Teams to compete March 17-19, 2007, at the Duberstein Bankruptcy Moot Court Competition in New York City. Team members are Mary Wahne Baker, Sarah Greenberg, Laura Horn, Brad Odell, Afton Sands, and Clinton Snow; Larry Doss and Dean Pawlowic are the coaches. One team tied for third and the other finished in fourth place at the Elliott Cup to qualify to compete in the Duberstein Competition .
The Texas Tech Law School team reached the finals of the National Black Law Students Association International Negotiation Competition held in Boston March 3 – 4, 2007. The team of Lynne Brooks and Marcus Blais finished in third place overall, after a split decision in the final round. Teams traveled to Boston from around the world to participate in the first annual NBLSA International Negotiation Competition: Building Bridges, Crossing Borders & Going Global: Strategizing for Success in a Changing World.
