Dean Walter Huffman presented “Current Developments in Legal Education” as a Co-Leader of the U.S. delegation to the “U.S. -- Russia Rule of Law Conference”, held at St. Petersburg State University School of Law in St. Petersburg, Russia, from November 3 – 9, 2007. The U.S. delegation was lead by Richard Pena, former President of the Texas Bar and current member of the ABA Executive Committee. Dean Huffman was joined in his presentation to the joint conference by Dean Vladimir Lukianov of the St. Petersburg School of Law. Dean Huffman stated that “he was honored to be selected as a co-leader of this distinguished delegation and to have the opportunity to discuss issues related to legal education at Russia’s oldest and most prestigious law school”. As Dean Huffman noted, “this law school claims both current Russian President Putin and former Communist leader Lenin as graduates, and that historical association made this opportunity even more special”
