Professor Beyer appointed to Real Estate, Probate, and Trust Law Council of the State Bar of Texas 

Governor Preston E. Smith Regents Professor of Law Gerry W. Beyer was recently appointed to the Real Estate, Probate, and Trust Law Council of the State Bar of Texas for a four year term.
 
The Real Estate, Probate, and Trust Law Section is led by its governing Council, consisting of 16 members elected for staggered terms of four years each, as well as the Section' s officers. The mission of the Section is to provide support to its members and other attorneys practicing real estate, probate or trust law in Texas. To accomplish its goals, the Section utilizes its resources to: (1) monitor judicial and legislative developments, (2) educate lawyers and the public and inform them of developments of interest, (3) review and propose legislation advancing the utility, clarity and predictability of the laws of Texas, and (4) create and disseminate written and electronic materials that are of use to lawyers practicing real estate, probate or trust law.
