Texas Tech Law Leads Public Schools on February 2007 Bar Exam

The February 2007 Bar results, released May 3rd, again showed Texas Tech Law graduates in their traditional high position in passing the Bar. Texas Tech had 24 graduates passing and only four failing for a passing percentage of 86% vs. an overall pass rate of 79% on the February Bar, and Tech's passing percentage was the highest of the four public law schools in Texas. Dean Walter Huffman stated that "although the February results are always skewed by the relatively low number of candidates taking the test, it is also always better to be first among your peer institutions than otherwise on this important measure of the quality of legal education our law school provides. I congratulate our graduates for their hard work in preparation for this licensing exam, and I also congratulate the faculty who prepared them so very well.
