Heartiest congratulations to  Michael Martinez (2L), and Sam Webb (3L) for winning the National Latino/a Law Students (NLLSA) National Moot Court  competition in Chicago this weekend.  In a very competitive field that included three Ivy League teams, Michael and Sam also won the best written brief award and Sam Webb was named top oralist in the final round victory over Columbia Law. This is the second year in a row Tech Law has won the competition.

I know you will want to join me in giving Michael and Sam a hearty handshake for bringing home our first National Championship of the new academic year and in thanking them for representing the Texas Tech University School of Law so very well.  And major kudos as well to Director of Advocacy Programs and team Coach Rob Sherwin and to our other faculty and staff who gave of their time and talent to prepare this advocacy team.
