Congratulations to our Texas Tech Law team for winning the 2008 Thurgood Marshall Mock Trial Competition for the Rocky Mountain Region of BLSA (Black Law Students Association). Team members were Marcus Blais, Lynn Brooks, Titiana Dixon, and Amber Webb. The team literally swept the competition, winning each round by a unanimous vote of the judges. Tech Law also won the top two individual awards, with Marcus Blais winning the Best Advocate award for the tournament, and Amber Webb coming in second.

The competition was held February 7-9, 2008, in Austin, and was hosted by the BLSA chapter at the University of Texas. The championship team, which is coached by Associate Dean Cal Lewis, now goes on to the national competition, which will be held in Detroit in late March.
